Remember YouTube?
In case you've not been scrolling down these newsletters, just a reminder that I have a YouTube channel. Almost every article mentioned in this newsletter has an accompanying video, often demonstrating what I'm talking about. I'd love it if you subscribed, liked, and so on. It helps me, of course, but it also helps others on YouTube get the answers they're looking for. Thanks!
So. Many. Files.
I ran across a question, and, as happens often, I learned something about Windows.
Windows has a lot of files. A LOT of files. This is not new.
But exactly how Windows defender counts them was a surprise. Fortunately, a surprise that makes sense.
This week's featured article has the details: Why Are There So Many Files?
Also this week
- Browser caches: why?
- Recovery email address: yes.
- EaseUS Todo Emergency disk: how.
- Saved chat history: maybe.
As always, links below.
TEH Podcast
"This week, on a very special edition of The TEH Podcast..."
OK, cutsey intro aside, it was a special edition. Not only were Gary and I in the same room for a change, but so were our original two co-hosts! Topics ranged from The Internet Archive to Residential Cruising to iPhone cables, to (of course) AI. It was a fun episode.
TEH 207: The gang is back! Residential cruise ships. All those cables. And More AI.
