Welcome to the world of PUPs -- Potentially Unwanted Programs -- though there's rarely any "Potentially" about it.

Also this week: there's a lot of stuff in Task Manager's Startup list; what can you disable? (My most common response: "it depends".) Yes, your security software might be slowing you down.
