AI everywhere

Seems we can't get away from all of the mentions of AI -- artificial intelligence -- in the trade press and news these days. From Dall-E and Midjourney generating images, to ChatGPT, Bing, and Bard all generating amazing text missives, it's hard to avoid.

Is this the begining of the end?

Well, it's the begining of something, that much is certain.

Is AI Taking Over the World? has my thoughts.

Also this week

  • Checking for malware before you download.
  • Downloaded document (1), (2), (3)
  • Who's voice is that, really?
  • Someone reading your email?

As always, links below.

TEH Podcast

This week I marvel at virtual machines: they're everywhere, and have some amazing properties. OF COURSE we talk about AI, and complain about the people complaining about AI. Gary fills me in on the tradgedy of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer remaster.

All that and a few cool things plus some self promotion.

TEH 188: Virtual Machines, Complaining about complaining, the Future & Buffy.

Take care,

Leo
