The big gun to repairing a Windows 10 installation is to reformat and reinstall. The problem, of course, is that doing so erases everything on your hard drive, forcing you to reinstall your applications and restore your data from backups.

For some reason, when I try to print a copy of an Outlook email, the body of the email is often a faded gray color. One or two lines of the ‘from/to' heading are normal in darkness. I've tried settings, in various ways on Outlook, PC, and the printer. I'm kind baffled on how to correct it.

Can My ISP See I'm Using a VPN or a Proxy?

I'm living in the UK, using a well-known ISP-changer program. It gives me a different ISP address that says I'm in the Netherlands, Russia, or the USA. What exactly does my own ISP see when I use this? Can they still tell how much I download, for example? Can my ISP see I'm using such a thing?

This is an interesting question, particularly when it comes to understanding “IP-changing” services.

First, I need to clear up some terminology to be sure we're talking about the same thing.

Can Someone Install Something on My Computer When It's Not Logged In?

Before I raise heck in the house, would you please answer a question? We have several computers in our home. Recently, I have seen “Spy PC 7.0 Quick Start Guide” in the home. I don't mind if the owner of this booklet uses it on his/her machine, but not on anyone else's. Can this be installed on other personal computers (which are usually password locked)?

The short answer is yes, absolutely. I think you're right to be concerned.

I also think there's an important lesson here for everyone.
