Fake emails

One of the ways that spammers and scammers try to fool us is by using fake email addresses. Reply all you want, but your message won't go to the scammer at all. (Actually, don't reply, since it's just as likely to go to an innocent bystander.)

So, how do you tell if that email address you see is legit?

It's not easy, and sometimes it's not possible.
