Recovery Codes

You have them, yes? If you ever lose access to an important account, and recovery codes were available but you never saved them, you could lose access to the account permanently.

The issue, of course, is how to save them securely. If you could use them to regain access to your account, so could someone else.

Getting them is important, and storing them securely is important. How Should I Keep Recovery Codes Secure? has the details.

Also this week

  • Closed accounts and bounces
  • Computers that freeze
  • Recovering a message submitted via an online form
  • Undo send - it's not what you think it is

TEH Podcast

This week we discussed hyper-personalization in tech and life, the limitations of customization in operating systems like macOS, and the debut of Zoom's new AI Assistant. I asked Gary about air tag tracking for personal safety. I enjoyed Guardians of the Galaxy three, and Gary enjoyed a book about an 18th-century shipwreck.

TEH 205: Hyper-Personalization. Air tag tracking. Zoom's AI Assistant.

Take care,

Leo
