Ransomware is scary

It is just malware, after all, but it's particularly destructive malware. It's that destruction that's at the heart of most people's fears.

The only thing worse than getting hit by ransomware is getting hit a second time.

How do you prevent a second infection? Learn from the first.

How Do I Prevent a Repeat of Ransomware? goes into detail about exactly what lessons need to be learned.

Also this week:

  • "No Signal"? No problem! (OK, well, it could be any of several problems, actually.)
  • Opening File Explorer to a specific folder.
  • Power supplies and laptops.

As always, links below.

TEH Podcast

I found still more streaming music. Gary lost (and found) a phone, and describes the mystery surrounding it (and what he'd do differently next time). I've been playing with my video tools.

All that and the usual cool stuff at TEH 156: Music and MP3s. Lost iPhones. Recording software adventures.

Have a great week!
