Alternatives to "the media", social or otherwise
I published an essay over on my personal blog, Like? Subscribe! Support!!, discussing what I'm finding as a worthwhile alternative to social, and many traditional, forms of media.
Give it a look.
Recall? Recall
There's a lot of buzz around Microsoft's announcement, originally quite botched, for the "Recall" feature they're introducing.
The bottom line is it's highly unlikely to impact you at all any time soon, and when it does, you have many more choices than the naysayers would have you believe.
Of course I'm taking a lot of flak from those naysayers for understating what they see as a horrid security threat. I address that as well. (If it's truly worrisome, they're worrying about the wrong thing.)
