Newsletter FAQ & administration
I'm approaching YAA (Yet Another Annivesary) in a couple of weeks, and that's spurred me to evaluate how I'm spending my time to best serve you. A few changes have resulted:
- You'll note there's no introductory video for this newsletter. That took a surprising amount of time, and just wasn't getting the views or adding the value that I'd originally hoped.
- I'm dialing back on social media. You can read more about that here. (No, I'm not leaving it, just reducing the time spent. The article has the details of what you can expect.)
- I'm hoping to dial up my engagement with my patrons in gratitude for their support. If you're a patron you should have received an email on the topic, also view-able here. (You must be a patron, and you must sign in with your Ask Leo! account to view that message.)
My personal motto is "every day is an experiment", so I'm constantly trying new things and new ways of providing value. Hopefully some will resonate with you.

I did not know this even existed until a friend told me it wasn't working for him. It turns out it's just in a completely non-obvious place.
If you've got a Microsoft Office subscription, Word can do transcriptions for you. Pretty cool!
Also this week:
- CHKDSK "can't run"? Here's why.
- Everything comes to an end, including support for Windows.
- Use two-factor? (Good!) Forget your password? Not related, and not a problem (if you prepare).
TEH Podcast
And we're back, for one week, anyway. We wax a bit about our summer, discuss just where space does, or does not, start, talk social media, and . . . Sargent Pepper? TEH 138: Summer musings, Space and Algorithms. (FYI we'll also be taking the next two weeks off.)
Take care,
