Positive News

Unrelated to Ask Leo!, just a reminder that I also publish Not All News is Bad. It's a daily single positive story from the news.

Thought maybe some of you could use some good news right now.

Life without a password?

Some services are going "passwordless". Microsoft already allows you to do so. When enabled there's no password associated with your account, and you use one of several alternate ways to confirm you're allowed to access the account when signing in.

You can simulate that right now with most any account. If you're interested in learning what that might be like, especially as we transition to passkeys over the next few years, I'll show you how.

Also this week

  • Security software recommendations.
  • Automatic sign in, yea or nay?
  • Erasing all the data on a disk.
  • RAW disks and CHKDSK, fight!
